4th of July Weekend

We spent the 4th of July in Lubbock this year. We left Thursday to go see Joby's parents. They had their pool all ready so we got to swim Friday and Saturday. Dakota had a blast! We took Dakota to the parade Saturday morning and met my cousin and her family there. Dakota was a little unsure at first but had a good time. He loved seeing the horses and waving his flag. He was so worn out after a long day and short nap. It doesn't get dark until well after 9:00 in west Texas so it was a struggle to keep him awake to see fireworks. We went outside to watch people popping them and got attacked by mosquitoes so we watched from inside. We had a great view but Dakota only lasted about 10 minutes. He liked watching them though. Dakota slept three hours of our 5.5 hour trip home. That made for an easy trip home!
