Pregnancy

I actually had a really good pregnancy. The first three months were no fun to say the least but I know it could have been a lot worse. We found out I was pregnant on Father's Day. I had just finished the school year so luckily I was not having to get up and go to work during my "morning sickness" days. That was nice. I told Joby I couldn't imagine having to be at work feeling like that. Nothing ever sounded good to eat, not even my Dr. Peppers!! I think I lived on cereal and saltine crackers for the first three months and all I wanted to do was sleep.
Then we bought a house and moved in July. That was fun!!! I spent my days packing the house between feeling sick and sleeping. It was a slow process. We didn't tell anyone we were expecting until the day we got the keys to the house. My mom came to help get started cleaning and painting. We were giving her the tour and left the nursery-to-be room until last. I told her we had some good news and bad news. The bad news was I couldn't paint it yet. The good news was....then we opened the door and on the closet door was a picture of the sonogram on a paper that said "Baby Raymond's room coming soon"!!! My mom was so excited and just couldn't believe it! So the bad news really was I couldn't help paint, any of the house. Joby and my mom painted the kitchen, our bedroom, and the guest room. I cleaned what I could but felt pretty helpless. We told most of the family the same way. Joby's parents were unable to come for several weeks after we moved so we made a fast and surprise trip to Lubbock to tell them. I made a shirt that said "Mommy to Be" on it. They were shocked that we were actually there and hadn't told them and even more surprised about the big news. We told Joby's mamaw the same way and my grandparents too. I went to visit Denea on that trip to give her the news. We printed out pictures of our new house and stuck the sonogram in between those pictures. She was going thru them and the sonogram fell to the side. She said "what's a sonogram doing in here?" and then she realized why it was in there. She couldn't believe it!! It was so much fun sharing the news with everyone and seeing how surprised everyone was!

At 20 weeks we were able to find out the sex. We were so excited that it was hard to sleep the night before. We just couldn't wait any longer. When the doctor pointed out that extra special little part we were so excited....It's a Boy!!! We couldn't wait to tell everyone and as soon as we got in the car we started making phone calls. On my lunch break we went straight to Kohl's to buy his first outfits and blanket. After work we went to Babies R Us and bought a few more outfits. I told Joby we were going to have to stay out of the baby stores or we would be broke!!!
We just knew Baby Raymond was going to come early. I was huge and getting very uncomfortable the last several weeks. I couldn't sleep very good from being so uncomfortable and of course getting up at least twice a night to go to the bathroom. I had Braxton Hicks contractions like crazy. Joby asked if I was sure they were just Braxton's. Well, sure enough I made it to my due date. I couldn't wait any longer and didn't want Dakota getting any bigger. On February 21st I was induced and God blessed us with a beautiful little boy!

Here I am three days before I was induced. I was HUGE!!
