To The Crib

Ok...so last night was a really hard night for me. We finally moved Dakota to his crib for the night. I know....5 1/2 months...it's about time but I hated it!! He has slept right by my side (not in my bed) since we've been home from the hospital. It was a long night!! We put him to bed around 10:00 and we watched a movie so it was after 1:00 before we even went to bed. Then around 2:30 I heard him waking up (yes...I had the monitor on full blast and the room isn't even that far away). So I went in and gave him his pacifier and turned him on his side. He loves sleeping like that. Joby was up with him around 4:00 doing the same thing and then he was ready to eat about 7:00. Man...it was so much easier when I could just reach my arm over and stick the pacifier back in!!! It was really hard though and of course I cried!! I told Joby...just imagine how hard it's going to be on me when I drop him off for his first day of kindergarten!! It just made me think about how fast he is growing.
