The Flu

Well, the flu has been going around in our house! Wednesday night we went to dinner for our 3 year anniversary. We took Dakota with us and he was so fussy the whole time and didn't want to eat anything. Before we left he had layed his head down and fallen asleep. He felt pretty warm. He went to bed around 8:30 and was up at 10:30 screaming. He ended up throwing up and had a fever of about 101 degrees. By the middle of the night it had gotten to almost 103. It was a very long night and I think we saw every hour of it. We called the doctor Thursday morning and they said bring him in. They swabbed him for flu and RSV and sure enough it's the flu! His poor little nose has been running nonstop and he has been coughing a lot. It's so sad seeing him miserable. Saturday night he actually slept from about 8:00 - 5:30! We thought Sunday would be a better day but he felt yucky all day and didn't eat or drink much. I started feeling bad Thursday afternoon and Joby started feeling bad Friday. Luckily the doctor prescribed us Relenza so we've been taking that and feeling much better. Hopefully we will all be better soon so we can celebrate Dakota's 1st birthday this weekend!Yucky runny nose...poor baby!
