Happy 1st Birthday!

I can't believe my little baby is already one year old!! We had a fun weekend of parties and celebrating. My mom came on Friday to help me get ready for his party and make his cake. We started making the cake and cupcakes late afternoon and worked on the cake until 2:30 in the morning!! I know....we are CRAZY! But we had a lot of fun doing it although we didn't want to cut into the cake after all that work. ha Saturday was Dakota's actual birthday and big party! We had about 30 people in our little house to help celebrate. Dakota took about a two hour nap right before his party started so he was in such a good mood. He had lots of help opening his presents and enjoyed climbing on the big boxes. Then on to the fun part....the cake! He had his own little blue cake. He wasn't too sure at first but then he dug his hand into the icing. I had to help him get down to the actual cake and he loved it! He looked like a smurf with blue icing all over his face and hands. Grammy and Nana got to give him a bath when he was done. I think Dakota's favorite part was all the balloons. He points to them and says "boon" and gets so excited. Thank you to everyone who came and for all the wonderful gifts! We are blessed with so many great friends and family!
