Walking!

Dakota has finally started walking. He took a couple of steps the week before his first birthday but then he got the flu and didn't do it again. Finally several weeks after his birthday he started taking a few steps between us but not really interested in it. He has been doing more lately and today he took about seven steps across the living room floor. He was so excited to get to his cousin Trae Trae that he just took off. He even stood up by himself today twice. Dakota is still way more interested in crawling but it won't be long and he'll be walking all over the place! Not sure I'm ready for that!! It's been a week since I wrote all of the above and man...this kid has taken off. He just pops up like it's no problem and starts walking across the room. I can't get used to seeing him do that. It's so crazy to see.
