26th Months

• Dakota is getting so big and amazes us every day at how much he's learning and saying.
• Dakota is doing much better at going potty. He gets a little toy dinosaur (gow gow as he calls them) when his pull up stays dry. He always tell me his tummy or poopoo hurts when he needs to do the other business. I haven't changed a dirty diaper in forever!!
• We have to read the same choo choo book every night before bed. I stop at the last word in each sentence and he finishes it. He has the book memorized!
• He covers his ear completely with his hand when he hears something, like he's listening. Then wants me to cover my ear so I can hear too.
• I drew a flower with the sidewalk chalk. He said "Good job mommy!"
• Joby was trying to put a pull over shirt on him to play. He told Joby " I don't want to go to church!"
• We were coming out of Chili's and I had a toothpick in my mouth. He tried to get it and I said "You're too little for a toothpick." He said "I'm not a baby!"
• Joby and I call each other Babe. The other day Dakota was at the table eating and was in the living room where he couldn't see me. He started hollering "Babe...Babe...Babe!" I said "Are you looking for mommy?" He said "uh huh." Too funny!
• Loves to sing Father Abraham or as he calls it Had Many Sons. That's always his request. That and Jesus Loves Me.
• Dakota is talking so much and is very curious about everything. Always asking what I'm doing or what's that?
