Easter weekend was full of excitement! My youngest brother, Cason and his girlfriend Ginny came to visit us. We went to the Southern Hills Easter egg hunt on Saturday with our neighbors. We were a little disappointed in how they did the egg hunt. It was supposed to be separated by age groups but way too many big kids jumped in and found all the eggs and candy. Dakota and Jackie got about 3 or 4 pieces of candy each. Luckily it didn't bother them any! There was someone dressed as an Easter bunny and Dakota was too worried about staying away from it than enjoying his time playing. Joby took him down the big bounce slide and as soon as they hit bottom he was asking where the Easter bunny was!
Saturday night we hung out with our neighbors and let the kids hunt eggs in their backyard. I think they enjoyed the much more than the church egg hunt! Dakota was a little unsure at first, as he is with everything, but finally got the hang of it and had a blast!
Sunday morning we got up and went to the early service at Southern Hills with our neighbors. Then we took Cason and Ginny to eat at Red Robin for some yummy burgers. We picked the same place last Easter in Flower Mound! Dakota enjoyed opening his Easter basket and playing with all his new toys the Easter bunny brought. I think he kind of liked the Easter bunny after knowing he brought him toys:)
