Dakota - 2 1/2 Already!

I can't believe Dakota is 2 1/2 already! He is such a big boy now! He has been very challenging yet so much fun. Joby and I are constantly laughing at things he says and does. I love hearing his sweet little voice! Here is a list of some things he is doing now or some funny things he has said.

• He says "that's kinda cool!"
• He doesn't like us talking to each other or being on the phone when we are playing with him. He tells us "No talking guys!"
• He loves being 'Naked Boy' - all the time!
• Loves mac-n-cheese now if it is the characters kind. Asks who every bite is and if we don't know we just say something and it usually works!
• We've been traveling so much throughout the summer. On the way home from Dallas I asked him if he was ready to go home and see Romo. He said "I remember Romo!"
• At 29 months we got rid of the paci. Joby cut the tip of one and he noticed it right away. He said "it broken." We told him he got too big for it and it broke. He woke up several times during the first night upset and only asks for it usually at naptime. Doesn't even want blanket much anymore.
• He has a nickname or shortens everything. ex: instead of nana he says nan or nanny, Trae is Traech
• Wants Daddy to put on "comfy clothes" every time he gets home for lunch or after work. Now when he wakes up in the mornings the first thing he says is "I get comfy clothes on."
• Thanks to his daddy he wants a honey bun all the time!
• Tells us when things are 'perfect'. Joby and my mom were moving a headboard and when they sat it down he said "That's just perfect guys!"
• Still LOVES toy story. We took him to see Toy Story 3 at the movies. He was a little nervous and the last 5 minutes he fell asleep. Then he cried when it was over because he wanted to watch it again!
• Likes to hide stuff. He hides Romo's toy and bone behind the couch and tv where Romo can't get it.
• LOVES superhero characters that Joby bought from McDonald's (underwear too)
• Getting brave - jumping off stuff now.
• Says "Romo, seriously" Joby says that a lot!
• Joby told him to be nice to Elle, he said "I be mean to her."
• I asked him what he wanted for lunch one day. He said "umm honey bun, cookies, brownies." Definitely has momma's sweet tooth!
• Likes to play doctor and check all his toys. He lays down and says "I'm sick, come check me."
• Says "guess what.....I love you" - toooo sweet!
• We were walking into Red Robin to eat, he was behind me and said "You look pretty mommy" Made my day! esp since I'm huge and prego.
• Daddy's boy! Wants his daddy all the time and always wants to go to the store or work with him
• Likes to go to Bible class now! YEA!!

He's going to hate me one day for posting this but I couldn't resist.

This kid definitely keeps us on our toes. I can't imagine life without him! What a sweet little blesssing!
