My little baby just turned 18 months old! It's crazy to think I have a toddler now! It seems like yesterday we were heading to the delivery room! Why does time fly so fast? We just had his 18 month checkup on Friday.
Here are his stats:
weight - 24 lbs. 5 oz. (25%)
height - 33 in. (75%)
He had to have 3 shots. One of those was the flu shot. They recommended getting it because they expect flu season to be earlier this year as well as a bad season of it. I thought watching my baby get shots would get easier as he got older but it's still the hardest thing. Now he just looks up at us like "why are you letting her hurt me." It breaks my heart everytime:(
Dakota is learning more and more each day. His vocabulary is growing like crazy and it's so fun to see his little personality blossom(except his aggressiveness of course). We are still working on potty training. We are successful just about everytime he sits on the potty although sometimes getting him to take time to sit is challenging. Dakota is a very picky eater but loves, strawberries, grapes, ham, cheese, yogurt, and goldfish. He loves to show his muscles after every bite. He makes the funniest faces and noise when showing us. He still loves reading his books, likes to color, and loves his animals (toys). When asked how old he is he says "two". I think he just likes saying that number.
We are having so much fun watching Dakota grow and learn. He is such a blessing in our lives. What did we ever do without him? :)
