First Thanksgiving

Dakota had a great 1st Thanksgiving. We left for Lubbock on Wednesday to go visit Joby's family. We decided to carpool with Jordy and Steph and realized that probably will not happen again. We had way to much stuff and ended up having to put luggage in the back of Jett and Carrie's truck who we followed. We joked about having to rent a bus when we all have more kids! Thursday was a nice relaxing day. Mamaw and Grammy cooked a huge meal and us girls even got to help some. We had so much food and it was all very delicious! Dakota had turkey and sweet potatoes (his baby food), and even tried mashed potatoes. He wasn't crazy about them at all! Of course football was on and the girls checked out all the great deals in the ads. Steph and I go out after lunch and did some shopping on Friday. We tried the online thing early in the morning and didn't brave the crazy crowds. Saturday was the big Tech game against Baylor. We hadn't been to a game in about two years so it was fun to go back and cheer for our team. They made us a little nervous the first half but ended up winning! Dakota got lots of Grammy time and loved playing with Trae Trae. He also didn't sleep well while we were there so we have been very tired. One day he and Trae wouldn't even nap and he still didn't sleep well at night. We headed back Sunday after the guys loaded all the luggage in the rain. Luckily it didn't rain on us after we left Lubbock. We had a great time and enjoyed spending time with our family!
