Weekend in West Texas

The whole purpose of this trip was for my cousin's wedding in Canyon. I'm so mad at myself because we didn't take the camera in to the wedding and then we were all too lazy to go back to the car to get it. The yucky rainy weather could've had a lot to do with it but I'm sad I didn't get any pictures of the beautiful bride. She looked amazing and the whole wedding was beautiful. After the wedding we went to the hotel that my aunt and uncle were staying at to watch the Tech/UT game. Although the game didn't end in our favor, it was fun to hang out with all my cousins and their kiddos. My uncle Bobby was so nice to get in the swimming pool with Dakota and all of his grandkids. We stopped in Lubbock first on this trip to see Joby's parents and they were so kind to dog sit for us. We actually left the day of my birthday so I got to spend 5 1/2 hours sitting in the car but it ended nicely with a delicious dinner and birthday cake to celebrate mine and Joby's big 3-0. (those pics are on another post). Dakota enjoyed his dinner and mostly the olives he tried for the first time. These faces are priceless! Then of course he and Pops had to show off their muscles :) Dakota got a fun surprise from Grammy when we got there. She got him a new spiderman chair. He loves this chair but Romo got a little jealous and took over once Dakota was in bed!The next day and a half we went to my grandmother's in Hart, however it was not our typical stop to visit my grandmother. She was put in a nursing home a week before so we all went to help clean out her house and split things up. It was the hardest thing I have had to go through so far. It broke my heart seeing her in the nursing home and especially when it was time to go and knowing she was there all alone. I know that that is the best place for her right now though.
